Our Little Dancer
Yesterday we headed to get Mia's dance pictures done. She was beyond thrilled to get dressed up and have a little bit of make up on. Daddy was not cool at all with any of it...the posing, the make up...his baby girl was looking too old!
After the professional pictures I had a great idea to head to take a few more in the bluebonnets while she was still in her outfit. Well, it was a bit too windy. Didn't work out like I planned but I was still in love with these shots of our baby girl who just happens to be growing up too fast.
Her recital is coming up next month and we CANNOT wait to finally see it all ( it has been a big secret).

Long Easter Weekend
We had a really great weekend! Kiddos headed out of town for the first time without Mommy and Daddy on Thursday after school. They went camping with Mimi and Papa and had a BLAST!
On Thursday night I went out to dinner with a few of the baseball Mommas and we had a great GNO. The next morning I got to sleep in, clean up the house a bit, head out to get a pedi with my niece and my friend, Beth. It was a great afternoon! That night Justin and I headed out for a date night to Studio Movie Grill.
Saturday morning rolled around and we could no wait for the munchkins to come back home. Tono brought us donuts ( heck yeah) and we waited around for the little peeps to make it home before Luka's soccer game at noon. Our boys was tired after two days of camping. Lol! His face says it all. He did great though!
That afternoon we spent time with my family celebrating my bro-in-laws birthday at our house. We grilled out and relaxed. After everyone left we headed to the pond on our bikes while the boys took their baseball gear.
Sunday was spent with both sides of our families. Kids had two Easter egg hunts that the grandparents put together for them. We also stopped by our "old Bluebonnet field" and took some pictures on the way to Mimi and Papa's. Luka was not not feeling the pictures in the bluebonnets but was all smiles at Mimi and Papa's.
We got home and the kiddos and I took a two hour nap. It was glorious! After we got up the boys played at home while Mia and I went out for a 2 mile bike ride. She is doing so awesome! It is so neat to go on longer bike rides together.

Lately
During baseball practice on Saturday, little Miss and I went shopping. This is her FAVORITE outfit. :)
The boys headed to Luka's late game on Monday night and we stayed home since it was super cold and windy. Don't like missing L's games but it was a sweet time at home with Mia.
Love this smile!
Love :)
Friends came over to hang out with while their Mommy and Daddy looked at houses in our neighborhood :) YAY for soon to be new neighbors.
Tuesday morning before school...we have the same routine every morning. I get up and shower/do my hair between 5:20-5:30. I get Luka up and out of bed around 5:55-6. We snuggle, the tv is on and he sleeps in my arms until about 6:20. I make him breakfast and get him up. He watches a show for a bit while he eats before Daddy grabs him to get dressed and ready for school. We are out the door by 7:15 most mornings.
This particular morning I remembered what this picture reminded me of....
How did we get here....Spring Kindergarten pictures and he looks waaaaaay too old!
Reading 3rd grade level books, getting invited to cool birthday parties without Mom...sigh!
Tuesday was rough- not gonna lie!
I was snappy, he was grouchy and moody...we both lost our cool in the car on the way to Mia's swim lessons. After we got home with homework ahead of us - I knew it would be rough. So we headed to the swing by the pond to get our AR reading done. After we got the homework done we played catch. Had a blast!
The pond is about 20 houses down...so we hopped on the scooter. Yep, at 30 I am not ashamed to ride a pink scooter down a busy street.
We had a great evening. Just what we both needed.

March/April iPhone Dump :)
We enjoyed a sleepover with friends. I took these two shopping for snacks and they insisted on squeezing into the truck. Lol!
The critters came to school with me one week and they got NO attention at all! ;) I am pretty sure they are missing eating all my students' leftover fruit at lunch. I was sure they would get sick from being fed so much.
Shoe shopping with Mia NEVER ends any different...we go for one pair and end up with at least 3. We needed closed toe shoes for school and she convinced me to get her these :)
Mia's buddy from school happens to play baseball with brother. Mia adores this little guy! He made her a picture and brought it to the game. So sweet!!!!
Miss Ang fixed Mia's hair one night. Isn't it adorable?
Last week Mia's school had Breakfast with Parents. Justin and I both got to go. It was so sweet and fun to spend the morning with out sweet little lady. She was very shy during their music performance and kept hiding behind her friend.
I took the morning off for Mia's breakfast at school so I also got to enjoy lunch with my little man before heading back to my classroom. He ordered Whataburger. :) It was the perfect morning!
Hillside had Fine Arts night last week. We got to enjoy looking at all the special things kids at our school get to participate in. 3-5th grade get enriched art and music on top of regular art and music classes. The artwork displayed was awesome! I am so glad Luka gets to have an art class. Only two other elementary schools get to have art as a special in our district.
Watching the storm roll in one night.
Luka was SO proud to take all his medals and trophy to school after the speed stacking tournament.
Silly kiddos on a Sunday morning.
Silly faces with my baby girl. Love her! Please excuse dark circles - I was a little tired.
