We hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! We spent Christmas Eve this year with Daddy's side of the family, enjoyed a wonderful candlelight service at LakePointe, played games, openned presents and enjoyed a yummy dinner.
Mia getting a kick out of getting to play with some fake snow at church...
After many years of "foreigner jokes" I have had to endure from these two- I decided it was my turn to pick out their Christmas Evening pjs...Can we say "Christmas Story"
That night Justin, Tony and I stayed up late setting up all of Santa's presents...Mother of so many things that came with SO many pieces!!! Everything we got this year requires major assembly! We finally went to bed at 2 a.m.. NOTE TO SELF: avoid getting stuff that requires assembly and definitley DO NOT GET EVERYTHING that includes assembly! To follow the Bates tradition we exhchange presnets from adults to each other on Christmas Eve and then we take everything for Christmas morning from Santa out of the boxes and ready to go...I love it and I know the kids enjoy getting to play with stuff right away as they see it! The batteries are placed, the boxes are long gone and it is PLAY TIME!
We had a wonderful time with both sides of our family and enjoyed seeing the kids get SO excited about Santa this year. They got so much stuff from Santa and everyone else that we literally had to take EVERYTHING out of the playroom in order to make room for the new stuff. It took me 3 hours to be exact to move, reorganize and find room for everything.... I will let the pictures do the talking from this point on because you just might love our blog even more after you see what I am talking about!!!
Momma and Daddy got a super awesome new camera from Santa ( aka Mimi and Papa)...a brad new Nikon D3100 that I love, love, love...I have never been this excited about a gift! Aside from my wedding day, the days I gave birth to our children...this is pretty much right up there with those days! :) So in love that I actually gave it a name and consider it a member of our family. SO if you thought I overload the blog with too many pictures- you have seen nothing yet!!! I have taken 400 pictures in less than 48 hours and that excludes the hundereds I have already deleted since majority of my time was playing and figuring my new BFF out.
So thankful for the bext in-laws ever!!! Let the flashing begin! A few times my sweet husband had to tell me, okay just STOP!
Sleeping in Mommy and Daddy's bed to avoid waking up in the middle of the night and tripping on Santa's gifts...also their first matching pjs- LOVE 'em!
This is where Luka is telling Daddy "No Dadda tell Santa go back to sleep!"..."See presents later!"
AND this is where the fun begins!
Cool new Home Depot tool set/bench from Uncle Tono
Enjoying his train sets...helicopter came with one of them...
Finally noticed his air hockey table
Finally they have their own digital cameras and they won't beg me for mine...these were a big hit!
Mia got a set of Little Tikes people and a bunch of outdoor stuff for them...she grinned from ear to ear when she noticed her "tiny people"...everything these days is tiny!
Playing with one of the train sets
Mimi and Papa got the kids these cool hand held games with touch screens...let's just say that my car rides have been much more peaceful! :)
Loves her game...
After checking out stuff that Santa brought to our house, we headed to Mimi and Papa's for more presents and wonderful pancakes that Papa made for breakfast...then we came home and the kiddos got to play with their new stuff while we got ready for round 4 of presents at my parents...
Baka and Deda with half of their grandbabies
Bro-in-laws
We openned a bunch more presnets at my parents but for some reason my setting was off and the pictures came out too dark...I am still learning all about this camera...we came home after an awesome lunch and while Mommy took every.single.old thing out of the playroom the kids enjoyed their new toys...these train sets don't fit anywhere else so Luka will keep them in his room...
Morning game of air hockey with Daddy...the table is actually pretty cool and we will definitley enjoy it as a family...
And HE SCOOOOOOOOORES! See I would have never been able to capture this moment with my old camera!
Even though we never eat at McD's Mimi suggest we get this for the kids for Christmas since they always played with her "drive through restaurant"...so they now have their very own McD's drive through window...Luka calls it Chick-Fil-A...This is also a big hit!!! They "pretend play" so well!
Had to get a picture of her cute ponytail when we headed for round 5 of openning presents at my sisters
Pure joy when he realized he would be adding yet another cool trash truck to his collection...
The rest of the time at my sister's was spent looking up at Luka's cool new flying helicopter...My youngest nephew had one that Luka loved and actually destroyed so my sis got both boys each one...Daddy and Mommy love it too!
My Dad does not smile this big often and I loved catching it on camera
Mario, Dad & Justin
Dea and a brand new family member...sweet Robbie joined the Corkovic family today! So precious!
Save the best for last....Miss Mia is definitley a Bates kid...Papa and Daddy both have crazy, impressive skills when it comes to grabbing stuff with their toes or even pinching with them ...well, Mia grabbed my cell phone the other day with her toes without any issues and since then she is only getting better...here she is showing off like it is NO BIG DEAL!
