Daddy in the duck pond....

Last night we headed to one of our favorite parks to feed the ducks, ride the bikes, play some baseball, play in the sand and get some energy out. Somehow we ended up coming home with more kids than we had when we got there :)  Dea and Ivan came to spend the night and the kiddos had a alot of fun together. Memorable moment of the evening was when Daddy saved the day rescuing Luka's helment out of the duck pond! I did manage to get a picture!

Forget the ducks, the catfish is what we were all excited about!

Our new friends...
Such a beautiful sunset while we were at the park...

This was a wonderful, relaxing weekend! Today we even made a special trip to Braums after lunch. YUM!
Next weekend we have another adventure planned- four kids under 4 for the weekend! Friday- Sunday we will have a 6 month old, 2 very wild 3 year old girls and a 4 year old all to ourselves. We just might have to have a date night Sunday night ;)

Eagles, Mustangs & Pirates

Last night the whole family attended Sachse High School Homecoming football game. Even though they played our very own Rowlett High we sat on Sachse's side and cheered our "not so little" nephew who just happend to also be nominated for Homecoming King. I might be biased but he was the most handsome one out there! Every time we think of Nik being a senior this year we can't wrap our mind around it. Wasn't he just a four year old chubby little thing who begged for food or money for vending machines at the pool where Justin and I fell in love. Time flies!

The kids had a great time being loved on and spoiled by family. My sister and her family were there of course, Mimi and Papa joined us, and then we ran into some good friends who came to sit with us. All in all it was a great evening but sure wish Nik's team didn't lose. It was a good game 42-49... long ago I told him if he wanted to be a winner he should have picked Rowlett High Eagles over Sachse Mustangs. WINK WINK!

This morning while Luka and I slept in Mia and Daddy went and got donuts! What a nice treat! Then we headed to Rylie's birthday party and had a great time visiting with friends. The kiddos had a lot of fun! When we got home the girls went grocery shopping while boys watched some college football. While Daddy and Mia were napping Luka and I practiced some writing on the new mini white boards we picked up at the store...now off to watch the Upside Down show. Tonight we are heading to the park to feed the ducks and play, then grill out and have a family movie night. The house looks like a big disaster but it will just have to wait! This is the weekend I needed! :)

Every Friday Mia gets a little updo done at school by her teachers...yesterday when I picked her up she has two french braids and she looked SO DARN cute! When we took them off at the game her hair was a mess!

And at 10:30 p.m she had enough fun!
She wasn't the only one though...
Is this not the cutest little pirate you have ever seen? Thanks Rylie for the awesome party favors!
He did this all on his own...THE MEAN pirate face! UGRRR!!!
Mia's face cracks me up as she looked at her brother with the pirate patch...You can just see her saying " What in the world!?"
And three hours later he still loves it!!!
