September Happenings

We have had a busy September with the school back in full swing, Meet the Teacher night, a baby shower, homework galore, Mia's birthday, Grandparents breakfast, starting gymnastics, baseball practices and Jets soccer season starting. Next week Bandits start their baseball season and things are about to get even more chaotic. Awesome, just what we need! Sigh.

On top of it all - Luka and I have been sick, Daddy had a sinus surgery and I have already missed 2.5 days of school. We have had many great days but to say it has not been a bit overwhelming would be a lie. We are praying, trucking along and still searching for time in the day we can get everything done.

We enjoyed a family bike ride to the park, learning to play checkers and chess, movie day and celebrating our precious 6 year old girl. Here is our September so far in pictures.

New School Year

Sad and exciting! Sad to say good bye to our summer but excited for this new chapter with two kids in elementary school. We stressed up until two days before Meet the Teacher night as we were not sure if there would be a spot for Mia at my school. Our prayers were answered at the last minute and we were thrilled to start the school year together with Mimi included :)

Mia and Luka are lovin their teachers. We have been blessed with some great ones :-)

Wrapping Up Our Summer

As the beginning of the school year approaches we try to soak up every minute of our summer freedom. We had a family day at Burger Lake, went to church and out to dinner with sweet friends, squeezed in some last playdates/swimming with cousins, enjoyed a family game night, ordered our backpacks and lunch boxes and ran a bunch of last minute errands. We definitely made the most of our days before work and school officially started. I love my summers with my babies SO MUCH! I already cannot wait until next summer!!!

Bates Take Blue Mountain Beach- Year 3

We had another AMAZING week at Blue Mountain Beach at the beginning of August. It was a great vacation filled with family time and new memories. The kids loved it, we loved it and we will continue going back. We try to find some new things to do each year. I love that we have found a place that we consider our home away from home. We celebrated Luka's birthday at the beach again and he loved it!

Villages of Baytowne Wharf was new place we discovered and LOVED! We spent an evening there and will definitely go back next year. Seablaster snorkeling and dolphin cruise was also fun. We went back to Gator Island and were surprised to see how the gators have grown since last time we visited two years ago. The rest of the trip is documented through pictures. Picture overload for sure :)
