My Boy

This boy

and his Momma have had a rough few weeks together. Between being sick and major moodiness it was just a tough few weeks for us both- seeing eye to eye and being patient with one another was a major challenge. Yesterday we attended his first birthday party without sister. He was invited by his friend at school whose sister happens to be in my third grade class. I enjoyed our alone time so much. It was much needed as we were heading into another week of school/work/daily grind.

We had a great time at the party. Mia and Daddy headed to their own Daddy/daughter afternoon - played golf and went to Braums. :)

We beat them home and decided to enjoy some more one-on-one time riding Luka's bike and 4-wheeler. After that we took the scooter down by the pond and had the best time talking and playing together. We prayed for a better week ahead and talked about what we can do to help each other out.

LOVE MY BOY to pieces! His stubborn and strong willed nature pushes me to my limits daily but I couldn't love him any more. TODAY was such an amazing day for both of us. We had the BEST morning, day, afternoon together! Thankful for answered prayers :)

End to Our September

Another week, another missed day of school due to sickies but this time he recovered much quicker. We are so thankful he is feeling better and we are praying he stays well.
 Sweet babies! :)
Yesterday we went to support one special 5 year old boy. We attended the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes at the American Airlines center. Mimi and Papa joined us for the morning.

After the walk we headed to late breakfast/early lunch...
Then it was time to head home, change clothes and head to the soccer fields for the Avengers game at 1.

Saturdays and Sundays we fight homework with one child....
While the other one gets the same packet and couldn't love it any more.

Mom and Dad come back from their 6 month tour in Croatia and we are soooo excited! 2 more days and they will be here!!! :)

Sunday Dates

On Sunday we each spent some quality one-on-one time with L & M. Us girls headed to the grocery store while the boys were still sleeping. Mia decided it was cold enough outside to break out our "cold weather clothes". Love my girl!

Grocery store early on a Sunday morning might be the best option ever! My big girl helped get everything into the cart as well as unload it at the register. We picked up a few more things for our front porch and it if now officially complete and ready for full time fall temperatures.

Mia was super excited about "brother and sister" decorations as she calls them.

By the time we got home the boys were out on their own adventure. They went to the driving range for some quality father/son time.

We decided to head outside and decorate our driveway with lots and lots of pictures.

We took her 4-wheeler for a spin and then practiced on the big bike since we have not done that in forever. Mia had a blast.

Last thing she wanted to do was paint ( one of her most favorite things in the whole wide world).

Brother came just in time to join us for a little while.

Outfit change #2
We also picked up one of her many Halloween costumes this year. This one is my favorite!

After lunch while the boys were watching the Cowboys game we headed to my school so I could get a few copies made and get some things done in my room. She was waaaay excited as she doesn't get to hang out with me there at all. We ended up playing on the playground, I worked on the bench outside my portable, we made copies and got my daily bins organized . She was awesome at organizing stuff I gave her. I was very impressed!

We came home to our guys napping and later on we enjoyed the weather some more in front of the house. Love our front driveway with the kiddos at this age. Really nice and convenient!  Daddy took the kiddos and Kinsler for a walk/ride while I finished up my lesson plans on the front porch.

Dinner outside...They have the sweetest Daddy to get everything ready and let them eat out there.
We have a nice space for dinners in the backyard but eating on the front porch was fun too. :)

Monday at school Luka started not feeling great. It resulted in him staying home with Daddy on Tuesday and yet another visit to the doctor. His white blood cell count was half of what it should be :( This time he is recovering from strep and still on antibiotics yet he also managed to pick up a viral infection. Ugh! Poor baby :( We just hate to see him not feeling well so much lately. Breaks our hearts.

Got this pic from my precious boys while they were in the waiting room.

Sweet girl and I headed to work/school Tuesday morning together. She pointed out to me Daddy's complete routine with her and she was very vocal about missing Daddy that morning. At one point we had full on tears because Daddy always does a special wave to her as he drops her off. I had to promise her I could handle it. :)

She looked extra precious for her picture day at school. Here is her "smile for pictures"....LOL! Not sure why kids start inventing these uncomfortable smiles when you say they are getting professional pics made.

Saturday Fun

We woke up to BEAUTIFUL weather on Saturday! I headed for a morning run and it was just perfect. I came back after the run to pick up Kinsler and Mia and we headed down by the pond to let Kins run around. Love my girl so much! We have the best conversations when it's just us girls ;)

I just love, love, love our neighborhood!
Extra wide sidewalks are wonderful.

The additional access street in front of the house is a nice bonus...I was not too excited that the house is on a main road in Waterview but since the access road is never busy and cars go extremely slow, I have really loved it.

Love the trees and the ponds. We have loved the pool area for years since my sister got us access to it every summer. The park just around the corner is pretty awesome- it is where kids play soccer, there are trails, two playgrounds, volleyball court, several ponds and a large open area for the dogs to run in. It is just walking distance from the house and I know we will spend a ton of time there this fall as the weather gets nicer.

Less then a half a mile from the house we have a large open area, pond with a swing and some picnic tables. This is where Mia and I went to hang out.

At noon Luka had a soccer game. Takes us 2 minutes to get there- soooooo nice! Avengers did great! It is so fun playing two sports with the same group of boys. They have all started kindergarten this year and all happen to be at different schools.

After the game we came home, had lunch and headed to Braums for a special treat. Our family loves us some Braums :) After some relaxing around the house Jameson arrived to hang out with us and spend the night. It is crazy to think we have kids old enough for sleepovers...they played on their own so well.

They spent some time in the playroom, jumped on the trampoline and got to take out the four wheelers for a spin. We went out to grab dinner and brought it back to eat on the patio. The boys played basketball in the front while Mia played with chalk. The weather...oh the weather was amazing!

We pulled the matrasses in the playroom and the kiddos watched Lorax before bed. Justin and I got to have a movie night as well. PERFECTION! Miracle in itself was the fact we didn't fall asleep during the movie so we headed out on the patio to enjoy the cool breeze. LOVED IT! I snuggled in a blanket while Justin did some driving range practice. Such a great day with the kiddos and a wonderful night with my honey!

I came to check on the little ones and the doggies joined me.
