From the mouth of our 3 year old....

" I am done playing nice with you MIA!"

"Momma - listen to me...listen to me now Momma! Momma are you listening?" - as he is trying to hold my face with both hands...

" Momma, are we going to be late again...we are ALWAYS late Momma" - we were heading to surprise Justin at his softball game...NOT sure what he is talking about but I am always on time :)

"Don't say no Momma...I be a good boy" - when I tell him he can't do something and he is going to time out...

" Oh barnycals!!!" - his favorite Sponge Bob line he uses quite a bit these days when he drops something or something does not go his way...

"What did you say Dada? What did you say?" - he is really into repating ...second part he always scrunches his little face for....

"Wait Momma....I said just a second " - see picture below...

" I do it myself"

"Go Luka Go...Go Luka Go" - our kids love to cheer themselves on any chance they get...

"Momma don't test me with this ball...Momma say you're sorry..."- happened today as I accidently threw the ball at him while we were playing...I COULD NOT STOP LAUGHING...he started laughing at me laughing so hard but would not let me of the hook and kept demanding I say I was sorry....

AND THEN my least favorite

"Go away Momma...I need you to go away"- this could be when he is in trouble or if he is doing something he shouldn't be and soooo knows it!

Someone please tell us when did our baby boy get so old...this is him last night taking a break from running around at the softball fields to watch Daddy bat...

Just another Friday....

This is the outline of my day today...

1. up early and ready to head to the sub orientation...since this was my first day to "go to work" I was going to be early of course....

2. two minutes before heading out the door take off the high heels to resuce my 2 year old

3. break down the bedroom door to get the upset 2 year old (who just woke up) out of the locked room

4. heels back on and ready to learn all about being a good substitue to which I was late of course

5. come home to find our sweet dog had left me a present ( actually 2) on our living room ottoman...SERIOUSLY?

6. go to Mom's "monthly" dr.'s appoitment...either the woman has a crush on Dr. Meyer or it is competley normal to start falling apart after 55 in our family....

7. just when I thought the day had to get better my 3 year old swings the car door open on a busy road while we were in motion

8. stop the car and discipline that same 3 year old...all while getting looks from people passing by...

9. take a deep breath and head home

10. thankfully the kids fell asleep after all the excitment by the time we got to the house

11. break out the Blue Bell ice cream and enjoy some peace and quiet...maybe ice the shoulder that just started hurting from incident #3

12. get really angry about all the ice cream I ate before calling Time Warner and Verizon to chew them both out...I "feel bad" because they always catch me on a bad day....

13. work out tonight? I think not...

14. Hon- now wouldn't you be glad if you took on that Friday night softball???

Don't be jelous your Friday was not as eventful!

In the life of a typical 2 year old girl.....

Several weeks ago I did a post about Luka being all boy and now that I have plenty of pictures it is Princess Mia's turn... Here she is...the best way to really get to know her...the best way to learn what she is all about and into only a week before her 2nd birthday....

from fake cheesy smiles....
to requesting seeing her Max on Facebook while sitting on the potty...

to helping with chores around the house...

and giving her Momma some serious dirty looks when she is asked to put away her laundry...

to being all in your business....

to complete meltdowns and drama...

to knowing what to do with her freshly painted nails all while wearing Momma's sports bra that she put on all by herself...

to understanding the importance of something that most 5th graders have issues with....

to not being shy as she busts out some dance moves in the middle of the spray park...

to complete girliness...

to being completely smitten by her Daddy

to being a little copy cat- trying to lay on the bed the exact way her Momma does...

to playing with her princess castle....

to admiring her beautiful window artwork...

to giving her big brother a cold shoulder...

to using her precious pouty lip when in trouble....

to knowing how to work both sides of the camera...

to being wild at times...
and shy at others...

to loving her chapstick...

and her pretty, fun bracelets...

to being patient and still ONLY when her nails are drying...

to rocking out her new favorite outfit- naked with her ruffle socks & Nike shoes on....

to baking away...

and sharing moments like this on a quiet ride home...

to forgetting all of her lady like manners when a bowl of ice cream is sitting in front of her...

to singing one of her favorite tunes these days " Bad Boys Bad Boys whatcha gonna do whatcha gonna do when they come for you..."

FAVORITE COLOR: Blue ( she really means pink but always says blue)
FAVORITE DRINK: chocolate milk
FAVORITE SHOW: Barney & Gabba Gabba
FAVORITE SHOES: tied between her pink crocks and new Nike shoes
FAVORITE TOY: her baby dolls Lilly Bates and Lily Chickfila ( named them after a sweet friend we saw at Chickfila)
FAVORITE SAYINGS:
All myself ( she means I want to do it all by myself)
Bless you
Whatcha doing?
Mia go night night ( when she is ready to go nap or go to bed for the night
FAVORITE ACTIVITY:
any kind of art that involves glitter
painting her nails
jumping on the bed
blowing bubbles
Check the bees ( when her ear iches she tells us to check if she has a bee in her ear)
It's boo-boo...tiss (kiss) it please- she does this about a million times a day

How parents handle more than one of these precious, high drama girls is beyond our understanding...but we sure are blessed to call this one our own...We love our SWEET MESS aka Miss Mia!
